Affiliate disclosure
How this site makes money, and why that does not change what you see in the table.
Updated October 1, 2026
The plain statement
getspectacles.com is an independent comparison site. When you click through to a retailer and buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the retailer does not know who you are until you reach their site.
Links to retailers on this site pass through an internal address that starts with /go/. That address records the click for our own statistics and then sends you to the retailer, using a tracking link where an affiliate program has approved us and the retailer’s homepage where it has not.
Who pays us
We apply to the affiliate programs of the retailers we compare. The list of programs we have joined changes over time. Amazon links may be affiliate links through the Amazon Associates program.
What it does not change
- The ranking. The comparison table is ordered by the all-in price of the same basket, checked monthly. Commission rates play no part in it. How we rank explains the method.
- The copy. Retailer pages and guides are written from the price data and public information. No retailer reviews or approves anything before it goes live.
- The placeholders. Where we have not yet recorded a price, you see a bracketed placeholder rather than a number that might flatter one retailer.
Not affiliated
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any eyewear brand or retailer. Retailer names are used only to identify the products being compared. “Spectacles” is used in its ordinary dictionary sense.
